In the heart of Africa's big game country...

Olonana is situated on the banks of the Mara River, in the heart of Kenya's Big Game country. This unique setting offers a world of remarkable opportunities for safari adventurers. In addition to big game viewing in the Masai Mara Reserve, visitors are offered a close cultural experience and a glimpse of the day-to-day lives of the Maasai people in the adjacent Maasai village or 'engang'. Guests also have the opportunity to relax and revitalize while indulging in luxurious treatments at our new mini-spa.

Olonana features 14 spacious permanent tents, 12 tents are tastefully appointed with two comfortable queen-size beds, 1 tent with a king size bed (suitable for a honeymoon coupe) and one tent with two twin beds, ensuite bathrooms with showers, and large, riverview verandahs. Enjoy a quiet evening drink, cozily seated on your verandah, watching the hippo frolicking just before heading out for their nightly grazing.

Our chefs will delight you with exquisite cuisine, which can be served al fresco perched on the Siria escarpment overlooking the Mara plains or as a picnic deep in the bush. Or you can sink into the comfortable sitting area with some books from the camp's library lounge, and then enjoy a delicious dinner in the dining room overlooking our private section of the Mara River.

Enjoy an intimate and relaxed atmosphere at Olonana, where the pace of your safari can be as active or as leisurely as you wish. Certain events such as meals and some activities operate according to the guests' wishes and the opportunities presented by the changing patterns of animal activity. Game drives are, however, at set times as guests usually share vehicles.
